Describe Square Bar Fiber Concrete Spacer

General Introduction to Concrete Bar Spacers

Concrete Bar Spacers are one of HAN's concrete spacer product lines. Their long cylindrical design supports reinforcing steel or can be securely tied to it, keeping the reinforcement in position during concrete pouring and forming the required concrete cover to protect the internal reinforced concrete structure from environmental exposure, such as oxidation and reinforcement corrosion, which can damage the concrete element and compromise structural safety.

Concrete Bar Spacers are highly suitable for beams, girders, walls, and slabs.

Materials Used to Manufacture HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

HAN Concrete Bar Spacers are manufactured from the same materials used for HAN concrete spacers, including sand, cement, aggregate, water, admixtures, reinforcing fibers, and tie wire, in compliance with current construction standards.

Manufacturing Technology for HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

Concrete bar spacers from HAN are manufactured using concrete casting technology. The products are cast in precision molds to ensure accurate dimensions and low tolerances.

How to Select and Use HAN Concrete Bar Spacers for Optimal Technical and Economic Efficiency

No. Category Recommended Not Recommended
1 Design Select the appropriate concrete spacer design with tie wire according to the specific application. For example, use flat-base spacers for beams and walls, and curved spacers for slabs. Do not use a single spacer design for every application.
2 Dimensions Use Concrete Bar Spacers with dimensions ranging from 100 to 400 mm.
Avoid selecting Concrete Bar Spacers larger than 400 mm unless specifically required.
3 Load-Bearing Capacity

Determine the required design load and select Concrete Bar Spacers with a suitable load-bearing capacity.

Do not select Concrete Bar Spacers with a load-bearing capacity below the project requirements.
4 Recommended Usage Rate
Use at least the standard quantity recommended by HAN.
Do not reduce the recommended quantity, even when the Concrete Bar Spacers have a high load-bearing capacity.
5 Technical and Economic Efficiency
Use overall technical and economic efficiency as the key criterion when selecting Concrete Bar Spacers.
Do not base the purchasing decision solely on whether the unit price of Concrete Bar Spacers is lower or higher than that of other types.
6 Packaging and Storage
For high-volume use, choose products packed in large bags for convenient storage.
Consider the available storage conditions when choosing Concrete Bar Spacers packed in cartons.
7 HAN Brand Identification Contact an authorized dealer or purchase directly from HAN. The packaging should clearly display HAN's information, including the product code, address, and phone number.
Do not purchase products without the HAN brand clearly printed on the packaging.
8 Personnel
Assign knowledgeable and experienced personnel to work directly with HAN's technical advisory team when making purchasing decisions.
Accounting or purchasing staff should not make the final purchasing decision unless they fully understand the technical requirements.

Transportation and Storage of HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

Transportation Guidelines for HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

  • Never throw or drop Concrete Bar Spacers. Do not drag the packaging along the ground.
  • Use a flatbed truck when transporting bags or cartons of concrete spacers.
  • Place heavy bags and suitable products at the bottom. Slab reinforcement spacers (note: CSS050U, CSS070U, CSS090U, CSS110U, etc.) should be placed on top, and the stack should not be too high.

Storage Guidelines for HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

  • Store on a flat surface and do not stack too high.
  • Store in a raised, dry, and well-ventilated area, avoiding direct contact with soil, mud, moisture, or mold.
  • Bagged products may be stored outdoors for 1–3 months.
  • Carton-packed products must be stored on pallets and protected from water and high humidity.

Quality Standards for HAN Concrete Bar Spacers:

HAN Concrete Bar Spacers comply with the same standards as HAN concrete spacers, including:

  • TCXDVN 356:2005 – "Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures – Design Standard"
  • TCVN 4116:1985 – "Hydraulic Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures – Design Standard"
  • TCVN 9139:2012 – "Hydraulic Structures – Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures in Coastal Areas – Technical Requirements"
  • TCVN 9346:2012 – "Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures – Requirements for Corrosion Protection in Marine Environments"
  • TCVN 5574:2018 – "Design of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures"
  • BS 7973-1:2001 (British Standard) – "Spacers and Chairs for Steel Reinforcement and Their Specification – Product Performance Requirements"
  • BS 8110:1997 (British Standard) – "Structural Use of Concrete"
